Singtel and Starhub decided to squeeze as much as possible for this World Cup event but it seems like that caused backfire, lots of people boycott such action by refusing to subscribe to their service. Several alternatives are available to watch the World Cup 2010 although they blocked RTM 1 signal from Malaysia.
Such alternatives include using illegal decoding device, watch online, as well as use a portable antenna.
Since I just got my HDTV LED monitor, it is a good chance to me to try out the portable antenna, as I can watch the soccer as well as work on my laptop at the same time. I’m not able to receive clear signal from Global TV (indon) and RTM 1(malaysia) but RCTI is clear. The schedule for Indon channels is listed here. The TV frequency is:

RCTI=647Mhz
